A new firefighter has joined Borehamwood Fire Station after completing a 17-week training course alongside recruits from other brigades.
Tom Morey, age 24, who worked for a statistics company before taking the course, has joined the station's White Watch team.
He was one of eight Hertfordshire recruits who passed the course, which, for the first time, was taken with trainees from other brigades.
