A NICKELODEON TV programme, due to be aired in the UK early next year, will feature an Island 11 year old.
Christ the King College student Harriet Back hopes her role as Grace in House of Anubis, to be screened in the USA before it comes to the UK, will be a springboard to stardom.
After auditioning in London, Harriet spent a day in Liverpool playing Grace — a young girl who auditions for a scam musical — which included singing and speaking.
"I really enjoyed it and I hope I can play similar roles in future.
"I love musical theatre and I would like to be a star in singing and acting," said Harriet.
Harriet also appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at The Mayflower, Southampton, and spent more than a month with the cast when the show played in Singapore.
She is a member of the Gillian Cartwright School of Dance, which she joined aged three, and she sings with the Medina Community Choir and is involved in the Ventnor Theatre Group.
Harriet’s mother, Charlotte, said she was very proud of her.
"She loves performing and we are delighted for her. We hope it continues," she said.
