Isle of Wight police have arrested two youths in connection with this burned out van at Northwood Park, Cowes. Picture by Jennifer Burton.

FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a van fire in Cowes in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service was called at 3:45am to the van in Northwood Park and extinguished the fire by 4:38am.
No one was injured.
A police spokeswoman said they were investigating reports that a vehicle was driving around the park and causing damage to trees and benches. Two youths have been arrested.
Investigating Officer PC Nigel Allen said: "Whoever was driving this vehicle has caused extensive damage to Northwood Park which is an area enjoyed by residents and visitors to Northwood House. They appear to have deliberately targeted bins in the park to cause as much damage as possible."
