'MORONIC’ vandals have struck again at the Alverstone Mead nature reserve.
An information cabinet was smashed, photos and information sheets taken and thrown around at the popular Isle of Wight beauty spot.
Wooden plaques were also torn away at the site off Burnt House Lane, Alverstone.
In November 2015, donations from a charity collection box at the reserve were stolen by thieves.
Vandals set fire to a safe clad in oak before forcing open its doors and taking the money.
Only a few pennies were left.
The site is managed by the Wight Nature Fund and includes a hay meadow with wild flowers and is a haven for dragonflies and birds.
Warden Terry Guildford, said: "This time we had a cabinet that was trashed. I have left the damage as it is as it is important to see what these morons have done."
Isle of Wight County Press reader Zoe Cox said: "I've been a weekly visitor there for nearly two years sometimes three or four times a week to photograph the squirrels and to see the damage was awful."
