Vehicle restrictions on car ferry

By a County Press reporter

Friday, September 21, 2012

THERE will be restrictions on the vehicles able to travel on Wightlink's Yarmouth to Lymington car ferry service between October 16 and 18.

The restrictions are due to essential maintenance works on the linkspan at Yarmouth which mean the ferry will operate off the temporary barge.

While the temporary barge is in use vehicles will be subject to a maximum weight limit of 26 tonnes and no coaches, vehicles with overhangs at the rear, or cars with low clearance will be able to travel.

Passengers concerned about their sailings can contact Wightlink Reservations on 0871 376 1000.

Wightlink apologised for any inconvenience.
