A SUCCESSFUL project which supports men has moved to new premises.
Ventnor Men in Sheds, which has gone from strength to strength since it was established two years ago, has moved from the former Ventnor Youth Centre building to 149 High Street, the former Slade Electrical shop.
The move by Ventnor Men in Sheds, one of two autonomous 'Shed' projects on the Island - the other being run by Aspire in Ryde - has enabled the project to increase sits opening hours and membership.
It continues to receive support from Ventnor Town Council, through its community development officer, Tony McCarthy.
One of the Ventnor group's members, film maker David George made a film about the rise of the Men in Sheds project on the Island and beyond, and its benefits to men, called Better Shed Than Dead.
Ventnor Men in Sheds is open Tuesday and Friday, 10am to 2pm; Wednesday, 6pm to 8.30pm; and Saturday, 10am to 1pm.
