THE WET weather has led to a change in venue for a fun day.

The fun day for children with disabilities on Wednesday, July 25, was due to take place at Nettlecombe Farm, Whitwell, but has been moved to Medina Leisure Centre.

A council spokesman said the decision was due to wet weather and poor ground conditions.

The day, which has been organised as part of the Short breaks respite scheme, will include a football session with the Isle of Wight Inclusive Football Club, a boat simulation with UKSA, a magic show by Randini and performance by Crackers the Clown.

Refreshments will be available.

The council said places were limited and recommended anyone wishing to take part to register via http://shortbreakfunday.eventbrite.co.uk or by calling Lesley Forde at Family Information Zone (FIZ) on 01983 821999. You can also visiting FIZ which is based next to Newport Bus Station.
