A GRANT of £113,000 to improve wheelchair-accessible transport has been announced.
Residents and voluntary organisations in Hertsmere, Three Rivers and Watford will benefit from three wheelchair-accessible minibuses, made to strengthen the Roundabout Community Transport scheme.
The money has come from the DTLR's Rural Bus Challenge Competition.
Mr Robert Bradshaw, Roundabout manager, said: "This award has arrived at the best possible moment, when vehicles are busiest with field trips and excursions for specialist groups."
