MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY are looking for runners to take part in this year's Fun Run to raise money for the Helen Rollason Cancer Care Appeal.

Whether you are Olympic class or just up for a light jog, runners of all standards are invited to take part in the event which takes place at the Trent Park campus in Oakwood on May 11.

The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Appeal aims to raise enough money to open a £5 million international centre of excellence at North Middlesex Hospital.

The Edmonton centre for patients in the Hertfordshire, Essex and London area will provide state-of-the-art preventative screening, diagnostic equipment and treatment.

Helen Rollason MBE was a well known BBC sports presenter who died in August 1999, two years after being diagnosed with cancer.

One of her former colleagues on BBC Grandstand, Steve Rider, will get the run underway.

A fancy dress competition will be held on the day for all runners with prizes on offer for the most innovative costumes.

There will also be a free sports massage on offer for all competitors courtesy of the Academy of Sports Therapy and all finishers will receive a goody bag.

For details and an entry form contact Trent Park sports office on 020 8362 5699.
