CAMPAIGNERS battling to save the derelict Frank James Hospital, East Cowes, are staging a vintage day in its grounds.

There will be vintage bicycles of all kinds at the hospital and shanty songs, to commemorate the hospital was initially a seaman’s mission.

People are being asked to go in costume although dressing up is not obligatory.

The event, organised by Friends of Frank James, is on Sunday, September 14, from 12 and 4pm, and there will be refreshments.
