ONE of three Isle of Wight charities will soon be named Red Funnel charity of the year for 2017, and the ferry company wants the public to vote for a winner.
The Rainbow Trust, which offers support for terminally ill children, and Daisy Chains IW, which helps children with life-limiting disabilities, and the Hampshire and IW Air Ambulance are the shortlisted charities for this next year’s spot.
Shirley Anderson, HR director at Red Funnel, said: "We’re delighted by the level of interest in our charity of the year competition which is now in its third year. It’s been incredibly hard to select a shortlist of three out of the very many worthy causes, and it will be fascinating to see who the public select as the winner to succeed this year’s charity, Ability Dogs for Young People."
Votes can be cast until Sunday, December 11 by visiting www.redfunnel.co.uk
