A WOMAN has been detained under the mental health act following an incident in Newport today (Tuesday).
Police were called at 11:41am following a report that a woman was in a vulnerable condition on top of a building, in the Pyle Street area of Newport. The road was closed, but has now re-opened.
A spokesman said she had now been detained under the mental health act.
