A CHALLENGING seven hills walk from Freshwater Bay to Shanklin and a survival trek with overnight camping at Bembridge are the latest additions to this year’s Isle of Wight Walking Festival.
A programme containing details of hundreds of walks and events taking place at May’s festival is now available to pick up from libraries, Isle of Wight Council help centres, travel hubs and businesses.
Events include a talk by actor and adventurer Brian Blessed at Medina Theatre on May 5, while Walk the Wight is on May 12.
Full details of all the walks, including distance, difficulty and any cost, can be found on the Walking Festival's official website at www.isleofwightwalkingfestival.co.uk
The programme also includes details of the Autumn Walking Weekend.
