WALTHAMSTOW kickboxing wonder Stacey Bowhill has a proud record to defend when she steps into the ring for her next fight.

Bowhill, the 17-year-old undefeated British Ladies Kickboxing Champion, has still to be beaten in the ring.

Her next test comes against Watford's Southern Area British title holder Gemma Robinson, 16, who fights out of the Freestyle Kickboxing Club, at the Pavilion in Hoe Street, Walthamstow on May 26.

Bowhill fights out of the Blackhorse Road based Top Gym on the No retreat, No surrender bill which also sees an England v Wales bout.

She has already made two defences of her title, drawing with Toni Clarke, then beating the experienced Melanie Spicer in Basildon on April 15.

Spicer, 24, had fought over 100 times but she was no match for Stacey, who won all three rounds to triumph despite some poor refereeing.

Bowhill said: 'The referee wasn't the best and it was quite frustrating but it didn't stop me winning.

'I have improved a lot since I won the title.

'I am a lot stronger and I'm fighting at a higher level now.'

Bowhill began kickboxing aged 12 and became a junior blackbelt at 16. She is now a trainee instructor and helps to teach younger students at Top Gym.

Her trainer at the gym, Stanford Quarrie, believes Bowhill is in unstoppable form.

He said: 'She can beat anyone she's put in front of at the moment. She's simply electrifying.'
