Watchdog to inspect St Mary's Hospital

By a County Press reporter

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

A WATCHDOG will visit St Mary's Hospital later this year to inspect the quality of healthcare services.

A team from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will inspect eight service areas at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust — the emergency department, surgery and theatres, critical care, maternity services, paediatrics, elderly care, end of life services and outpatient care.

The trust will be one of 20 visited in the CQC's next round of intensive two-day inspections, some time between April and June, by the new chief inspector of hospitals Professor Sir Mike Richards and his team.

Tory Dogma:

Cuts in public spending and welfare are a necessary medicine

Privatisation is a solution

We are all in it together

You have to reward success with big bonuses

All business has to make a profit

"There are two classes in society, that is not a dogma, chose one."

Yes it is. That is PRECISELY dogma.

Why is Labour attacking the Scottish People? - is that not Bad?
Why did Labour go to war in Iraq?
Why did Blair start the Academies programme?
Why did Labour start the privatisation programme in the NHS?
Why did Labour give so much support to the banks?
Why did Labour start the attack on incapacity benefits?
Why did Labour give back the rebate to the EU?

What positive policies have the Tories carried out on the Isle of Wight?
Name one.
In fact what positive policies have the Tories carried out in favour of the working people nationally?

Where does that leave rhetoric now?

Who do the Westminster cartel serve?

There are two classes in society, that is not a dogma, chose one.

David, you illustrate my point about Matt's kind of political dogma. All parties have good policies. All parties have bad policies.

The Labour good, Tories evil rhetoric is rediculous and convinces nobody. Indeed it is that kind of dogma from the likes of Foot and Kinnock that doomed the party to sucessive election defeats. It wasn't until John Smith did they start to regain any credibility.

James. My only gripe against Margaret was selling off Council Houses. Just imagine if they were still in the public domain - far less shortage of housing

The first question at question time during Question Time during Labour Goverment was the waiting time for operatons. Blair reduced this dramaticly during his time with more nurses and hospitals . Now under Cameron they are rising again go figger

More tiresome political rhetoric from Matt.

Reminds me of the bad old days of Margaret Thatcher when the entire opposition was made up of like this.

Thatcher didn't win all of those elections. The Labour Party lost them.
