Weather warnings lifted

TWO weather warnings for heavy rain for the Isle of Wight tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday have been lifted by the Met Office.

The warnings, issued on Tuesday, now cover the south-west of England and Wales.

Heavy rain is still forecast for the early hours of tomorrow with gusts of wind reaching 57 mph in Cowes.

Further heavy rain is forecast from Friday night into Saturday morning, but with much lighter winds.
