Wight at Westminster puts the Island's best on show

Some of the best Isle of Wight products have been on show as part of the Wight at Westminster day.

ISLAND businesses and organisations have been in London today to help promote the Isle of Wight.

Civic leaders, including MP Andrew Turner, Isle of Wight Council leader Cllr Ian Stephens and Visit Isle of Wight chairman Simon Dabell welcomed Lady Penny Cobham, chairman of Visit England to the Wight at Westminster event held at the House of Commons Jubilee Room.

Lady Cobham told the County Press she was a big fan of the Island and had close connections with Osborne House.

MPs and journalists were invited to sample Island produce including Ventnor crab, Isle of Wight Cheese and Briddlesford Lodge sausage rolls, along with beer from Island Ales and Goddards Brewery.

The event has been organised by Taste of the Wight and hosted by Mr Turner.
