Wightlink cancels sailings

WIGHTLINK has cancelled several sailings today (Monday) due to mechanical problems.

The company said injector problems on the port engine of Wight Ryder II, had made it necessary to cancel the following sailings:

Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head:  17:40, 18:45

Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth Harbour:  17:10, 18:10, 19:15

*The company later announced the cancellation of two sailings tomorrow (Tuesday) and the use of a charter vessel for some sailings.

The 06:40 Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier and the 19:15 Ryde Pier to Portsmouth Harbour were the cancelled crossings.
The following sailings will be operated by a chartered vessel:
From Ryde Pier: 07:10, 08:10, 09:10, 17:10 and 18:10 
From Portsmouth Harbour: 07:40, 08:40, 16:40, 17:40 and 18:40
