Win a big deal for Charlotte

LUCKY Charlotte Williams scooped more than £15,000 prize money from game show Deal or No Deal — she bagged a new boyfriend, too.

The 27-year-old travel agent said appearing on the Channel 4 show on Sunday was an amazing experience, and meeting fellow contestant Charlie Sheldon, also 27, was the icing on the cake.

He has already visited Charlotte from his home in Falkirk, and she will fly to Scotland to see him later this month.

"It’s early days but he is absolutely lovely and one of the nicest people I’ve met. We really hit it off from the moment we met," she said.

"Everyone on the show was brilliant. You get to know the other contestants really well, because you’re together for ten days, and you want each other to do well. We will definitely stay in touch.

"Noel Edmonds was lovely too. I was so nervous but he was really friendly and helpful.

"I couldn’t have done it without my parents, Gary and Debbie, and my gramps, John, who was in the audience."

Charlotte, of Carisbrooke Road, Newport, has banked the prize money and cannot touch it for a year. Eventually though, she plans to spend her winnings on a new car and holiday to New York.

"It’s not like me to be so sensible but I’ve never had that much money before and I don’t want to spend it on rubbish," she said.

"I’m just a normal 27-year-old, I’ve got no savings and £15,000 means a lot to me. I never would have gambled it for more.

"It’s about more than just the money though, it was an amazing experience and I feel really lucky."
