AN Isle of Wight environmental programme is hosting the first of many winter events tomorrow (Wednesday) in Yarmouth.
Natural Wight has teamed up with the Isle of Wight Green Gym for a special Natural Wight Green Gym day of conservation work for volunteers at Mill Copse, Yarmouth.
The programme will cover issues surrounding the environment and anyone wishing to volunteer must book a place on the programme by calling Alison on 07528 376399 or by visiting www.footprint-trust.co.uk/greengym.htm
Throughout January and February other events will take place, including Gift to Nature's annual Sandman Snowman Spectacular on Sunday, from 10.30am where participants can build their very own snowman out of sand on Small Hope Beach, Shanklin.
Other events next month include a wild play day at Bouldnor Forest, an art workshop at Jubilee Stores, Newport, and a beach draw at Sandown.
Natural Wight is administered by Spectrum Housing and for further information on the winter events contact Claire Hector on 01983 824275.
