Hertford, managed by Graham Roberts, poured pressure on the Egham defence right from the start.

But Stuart Udal, James Farmer and Trent Phillips were in complete control of Egham's defence and the first half finished 0-0.

Early in the second half, Hertford's Martin St Hilaire ended a great run with a shot which beat Trent Phillips.

For the next 40 minutes Egham Town made numerous good chances but were unable to convert any, so ending the exceptionally good run of 10 games with a loss. Presentation evening followed the game. Club administrator Alison Thompson presented Trent Phillips with the players' player trophy, Trent was unfortunately suffering from sun stroke from playing that afternoon.

o Vice chairman Peter Barnes presented Paul Miles with the supporters' trophy, Brian Askew - committee member presented Barry Guildford with the coach's trophy, Alan Gordge - committee member presented James Farmer with most improved player.

o A special award was given to Roger Tolfree for all his valuable work on match days. Special thanks were given by chairman Pat Bennett to Alison Thompson for all the good work she has done throughout the season.
