Woman treated after chip pan fire

A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a chip pan fire last night (Tuesday).
The blaze, in Coronation Gardens, Shanklin, was reported at around 8pm.
Firefighters from Sandown, Shanklin and Newport were called to the property after reports people may still be inside.
The fire had been extinguished by the woman, however she required treatment for smoke inhalation and was taken by ambulance to St Mary’s Hospital.
