Launching the book Jack and Boo's Wild Wood are the Bell family, Eleanor, Alicel, five, Ethan, seven, and Philip Bell. Picture by Jennifer Burton
THE launch of a new book was celebrated with a nature walk and scavenger hunt in part of the wood where it was set.
Borthwood Copse was the setting for the launch of Philip and Eleanor Bell’s Jack and Boo’s Wild Wood.
The book contains photographs taken in the wood and the adventure was inspired by the authors’ own experiences with their two children.
Philip Bell said: "Our children can be reluctant walkers at times but when we get them out on a woodland walk they have a real adventure, nature spotting and scavenging.
The book is part story and part nature spotting guide with real photographs, some of which were taken in Borthwood.
Jack and Boo’s Wild Wood is available from www.beachybooks.com or Waterstone’s.
