SOME of the trees planted by volunteers at the Frank James Memorial Hospital site have been removed to make way for a car park.
Developers plan to start work on a new block of apartments at the East Cowes site soon and have begun clearing the grounds.
The Friends of Frank James said some trees had been replanted in the community and a handful had been left on the site for people to enjoy.
