The yacht being attended to by lifeboat crew member Pete Cunningham
A STRICKEN yacht, unable to make headway in The Solent, was given a helping hand by the RNLI yesterday (Sunday).
The 24ft Flow became stranded off Gurnard Bay shortly after 3pm, due to a lack of wind and inadequate engine power in strong tides. It was towed into the River Medina, to Kingston, by the Cowes RNLI Lifeboat.
It was able to continue under its own power to its mooring at The Folly.
