TWO boys, charged with arson after a fire badly damaged three unoccupied houses, are due to appear at Isle of Wight Youth Court today (Wednesday).
The fire at three newly built houses in Church Path, East Cowes, was reported to police on the evening of Saturday, June 23.
Two boys, aged 12 and 13, were charged with three counts of arson, and one count of criminal damage to a motor vehicle in East Cowes on the same day.
Both boys were released on police bail until today, when they are due to appear at court.
A spokesman said: "Officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Isle of Wight CID and East Cowes Safer Neighbourhoods team would like to thank the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and David Wilson Homes for their assistance with the investigation."
