More than 1,500 scouts will be on parade for the St George's Day parade on Sunday.

The scouts from Greenford and Ealing and Hanwell troupes will be led by the British Airways band. The final column will be accompanied by the band from the boys' and girls' brigade.

Although St George's Day is not officially until the 23rd of the month, it was decided to celebrate a week early to avoid a clash with Easter Sunday.

The parade starts at 2pm in Haven Green, Ealing, it then travels through Uxbridge Road, The Mall, The Broadway, High Street and Mattock Lane ending in Walpole Park.

At Walpole Park there will be a service lasting approximately 40 minutes before the scouts march to salute dignities on Ealing Town Hall steps.

At the service the scouts and cubs, dressed in uniforms from 1920, 2000 and 2099, will present sketches about scouting in the past, present and future.
