Mrs Myra Evans

Mrs Myra Evans.

A WOMAN, described by her husband as kind and caring, has died aged 72.

Myra Evans lived in May Close, Godshill, with her husband Anthony Evans. They moved to the Island 17 years ago, living in Shanklin, before moving to a bungalow in Godshill.

Myra leaves two children Valery and Billy, who live on the mainland, as well as her husband.

"Myra was one of a kind. She was such a lovely lady and would do anything for anyone. She was very caring and was so generous.

"She loved roses. Our garden is full of them and there are loads in our bungalow as well," said Anthony.

Mrs Evans had a variety of jobs over the years, including being a houseworker and a nanny caring for children, and also enjoyed gardening.

The funeral took place at the IW Crematorium last week, followed by a wake at Camp Hill Bowls Club, where Anthony is a member.
