FORMER James Bond actress Suzanne McLaren Booth has died at her Gurnard home, aged 72.
Born in Surrey, she died following a long battle with malignant mesothelioma, an industrial disease.
She starred alongside David Niven in the first Bond film, Casino Royale, and appeared in the television series, The Saint, with Roger Moore.
Her other television credits include Softly Softly and Trouble Shooters.
She then moved on from acting and joined the Surrey Police Federation, where she became involved in training police officers.
After retiring in 1997, she moved to the IW from Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, with her partner, Terence Sayers.
The couple pursued their hobby of keeping rare and exotic birds, which they showed successfully all over the UK.
Her funeral was held at the IW Crematorium on Tuesday, followed by a gathering at the Old Stag pub, Newport.
