GRANNY Valerie Cross has made a last minute appeal for support as she prepares to take on the London Marathon for her disabled grandson.
The 54-year-old from Kidbrooke wants to raise money for an adapted people carrier to transport baby Tom Cross who suffers from an undiagnosed disorder.
The one-year-old boy relies on a ventilator and is unable to walk or talk.
Valerie is training for the 26-mile event on April 22 and is hoping to raise £1,000 in sponsorship by taking part.
The Greenwich Council community worker, who has entered the marathon four times before, can be contacted on 020 8265 5588.
