Just a short note to thank people for their interest in Emily after the articles written following her kidney transplant from her daddy. (News Shopper, October 11) It has been wonderful to see Emily feel so well and especially eating for the first time after so many years of tube feeding and daily vomiting. I would take the opportunity to encourage readers to consider carrying an organ donor card and to discuss this with your family, as live donor transplants are not possible for everyone.
