RUGBYSandown and Shanklin 48, Andover 12.
HAVING not played since December 19, Hurricanes blew away the cobwebs with a convincing home win over Andover in London South West 3.
There was no score until the 16th minute when Wightlink man of the match, prop Chris Skelley stole the ball and fed the ball out to Dan Robinson for a converted try.
The score was soon 10-0 after a penalty kick and the points kept on coming when, Vikoma man of the match Mat Jones set up Danny Thomas for an unconverted try.
A quick throw-in after an Andover clearance led to Robinson scoring his second try of the day, as he avoided two tacklers to cross the line. The momentum stayed with Hurricanes going into the second half, as they added to their scoreline five minutes in, Dan Muir evading two tacklers to run in a superb try.
Andover responded with two tries, one converted but they were soon cancelled by tries from Jones and Joe Rees.
The scoring was wrapped up by Hurricanes when Jones gained more possession for the hosts, chipping and chasing the ball before passing to Muir who scored a converted effort.
Alex Howard converted four of the tries.
