Hurricanes get set for new season

RUGBYSANDOWN and Shanklin Rugby Club have started training at their Fairway ground as part of their preparations for the new season in London SW 3.

The Hurricanes, who celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, will start their campaign away to Old Wimbledonians on September 11.

The second team, playing in the Hampshire Merit Table 1, will be away to Southampton and the Tornadoes, the club’s third team, at home to Heathens II in their first encounter in the Hampshire Merit Table 2.

Training runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.45pm and anyone interested in playing for the club can contact Ricky on 07889 135738, Lawrence 07854 393138, or Alan on 01983 865513.
