Rugby: Epic win for Isle of Wight

THE Isle of Wight returned to winning ways with a dramatic victory over Ellingham and Ringwood on Saturday.

The Island won 45-44 in the Snows Group Hampshire 1 tussle at Wootton.

Captain Dan Stirrup said it had been a privilege to play alongside his teammates in the match.

Elsewhere, Sandown and Shanklin were beaten by league leaders New Milton and District 32-22, while Ventnor lost 60-23 to Fordingbridge.
