SAILING
SAILORS battled out a series of closely-contested races during Cowes Dinghy Week.
Gurnard Sailing Club hosted the annual event, traditionally held before Cowes Week, and there were some tight finishes in a host of classes.
Harry Blowers won the Laser Radials but behind him, there was a battle for the next two places between Brad McLaughlin and Georgia Caws, who finished on equal points.
McLaughlin’s bullet in the last race gave him second place.
The prizegiving had an Olympic theme and medals were awarded to the victors.
