SAILING
AROUND 100 yachts set sail from Cowes on Friday in the Cowes to Deauville Race.
The race, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, has been bolstered by entries from Royal Ocean Racing Club for the first time in recent memory. Entries are from Britain, France, Belgium, Spain and Holland.
The cruiser race started from the Royal London Yacht Club line, with the big boats setting off at 2.30pm from the RYS line.
