SPEEDWAY
TONIGHT’S (Tuesday) crucial speedway play off clash has fallen victim to the weather.
The Wightlink Islanders were due to host Mildenhall Fen Tigers in the second leg of their National League semi-final at Smallbrook but promoters Kev Shepherd and Chris Hunt had to postpone it this morning because of overnight rain and the forecast for more tonight.
Chris said: "It’s very frustrating. After the summer we’ve had, we hoped we’d get a better October but it seems it was not to be."
The match will now take place next Tuesday, October 9.
