SPEEDWAYPAUL Starke and Danny Warwick have put pen to paper and pledged their services to the Wightlink Islanders for another speedway season.
Starke, who had a disappointing year marred by mechanical problems and falls, turned down offers from mainland clubs to rejoin the Islanders in the National League, while Warwick is looking forward to a full season on the track after joining midway through the last campaign.
Starke said: "I’d like us all to do really well and get some silverware for the Island, regain some stability and get re-established as a good team.
"Personally I feel I’ve done my apprenticeship on the IW, and I’m ready to get back to business again. This year is going to be a good year for me — I want to get back on form, get may average back up and also get into Premier League racing."
Warwick said: "It feels good to be sorted out early and able to get everything into place for next season, there have been very few times that I have had everything in place this early. I enjoy racing and making the trips to the Island on the ferry."
