TWO more speedway riders have put pen to paper and signed for the Wightlink Islanders.
Brendan Johnson, who has now fully recovered from the horror crash which cut short his 2009 season, has re-signed for the National League outfit.
And home fan’s favourite Tom Hill has also agreed to return to the Islanders’ fold for another season — a move that will be greeted very favourably indeed by the club’s fans who loved his never-give-up attitude.
Hill has also set himself a target for the forthcoming campaign, to double his current points average. Joint team managers Chris Hunt and Kevin Shepherd both believe he is capable of doing this, especially as he will start the season as a reserve.
• Club shareholders are reminded that a shareholders’ meeting takes place at Smallbrook Stadium, on January 12, starting at 7.30pm.
