There may have been a war going on in the 1940s, but it didn't stop youngsters at Hillside School enjoying a good game of football.
Here is a photograph of the Hillside Avenue school's team from the 1942/3 season, kindly supplied by Peter Parkins, who is pictured on the far right in the bottom row.
