Agony for Raiders in play-off final

THERE was second leg agony for the Wightlink Raiders in their NIHL South Division 1 play-off final tonight (Sunday).

After 900 Raiders fans packed into Ryde Arena to watch a thrilling 3-3 first leg match on Saturday, a further 200 travelled to Essex to watch the second leg.

Unfortunately, Raiders were unable to stop the league champions on their own ice, holding them to 0-0 after the first period but eventually losing 3-0 on the night, and 6-3 on aggregate.
