OUTSTANDING sportspeople received recognition for their achieve- ments on Friday at the Fourth Greenwich Sports Awards.
The awards are sponsored by local companies and highlight the success of borough residents who have excelled at county, national or international level.
Results: Disabled sports person of the year - Margaret Lyne (bowls); Junior sports team of the year - Warrior Braves skater hockey team; Junior sportsman of the year - Babar Khan (cricket); Junior sportswoman of the year - Emma Delaney (judo); Sports coach of the year - Gary Cairns (rowing); Sports team of the year - Charlton Ladies Football Club; Sportsman of the year - Paul Johnson (squash); Sportswoman of the year - Monica O'Brien (power lifting).
