ISLE of Wight heptathlete Kelly Sotherton is set to be upgraded to her third Olympic bronze medal.
The former Team GB star, 40, who was born and raised on the Island, has climbed to third in the 2008 Beijing Olympic heptathlon standings after Russian Tatyana Chernova was stripped of her bronze following retrospective drugs tests.
Sotherton finished fifth at the 2008 Olympics but was elevated to fourth after Ukrainian Lyudmila Blonska was given a doping ban.
The latest medal comes five months after Sotherton, who retired five years ago, was awarded a bronze in Beijing's 4x400m relay following Belarus and Russia's disqualification.
She also won bronze at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
Sotherton tweeted: "So I've just found out I'm THREE TIMES OLYMPIC MEDALIST.
"Yes I had tears, happy ones this time."
