ISLAND horses have proved they can go the distance.
Two horses and their riders triumphed at the recent Endurance GB award ceremonies, winning a host of trophies and rosettes.

Niton’s Karen Whittington and her horse, Bobby, returned from the regional Endurance GB AGM with a gold rosette for accumulating over 600km, plus the Sailing Tartan Best Novice First- Season Horse award.
They also won the Bright Sovereign Trophy for best pleasure ride horse and the Sydney Trophy for the horse which accumulated most points in rides under 42km.
At the national AGM, the pair won three rosettes, including fourth overall in the Novice Horse First Season Championship and first in a team of three horses.
Lorraine Sheerin, also of Niton, and her horse Kingates Gold, better known as Deuce, also enjoyed success in their first season.
They won a host of awards, including the novice horse and rider first season award and a silver award for completing 567km.
Both horses are now being prepared for the start of the new season in March.
