SURFING IW SURFER Al Reed won a bronze medal at the 2012 British Longboard Championship at Crantock Beach just outside Newquay.
Al, of Arreton, took part in the masters category of the competition, and came third behind winner Matt Thomas and silver medallist Colin Bright.
