BADMINTON TWO talented badminton players battled through hours of competition and past players much older than them, to win medals at the Junior American Graded Competition in Winchester.
Aaron Scott-Roberts, nine, and Jack Hobbins, ten, played ten matches each last weekend in the under-13s category of the competition, with Aaron winning a bronze in the singles’ competition, and Jack just behind in fourth.
Together, they went on to win bronze in the boys’ doubles.
The duo, who are members of the IW Badminton Academy, were picked for the trip by IW coach Tony Isaacs, and travelled with their mothers, Tina Scott-Roberts and Gemma Hobbins.
Tina said: "They were both out on their feet on the end, they started at 9am and finished at 6pm. But they both did an incredible job, especially against players who were up to 13 years old."
