TWO men were arrested after a high-speed car chase through Locksbottom ended with police opening fire on the car in broad daylight.
Shoppers outside Sainsbury's store, in Crofton Road, saw the car speed past on Friday, May 10.
The Mondeo was brought to a standstill when its tyres were punctured by special bullets fired by a police firearms team. No one was hurt but both men were arrested and taken to Bromley police station.
Paul Brailford, 29, of Victoria Road, Chislehurst, was charged with two burglaries in the Orpington area and possesing a counterfeit note.
All charges were dropped against the other man, who was released on police bail.
Mr Brailford was due to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court last Monday.
