April 30, 2001 19:18: Robin Hood and his merry men are taking over Groombridge Place Gardens and the Enchanted Forest, Tunbridge Wells, on Sunday, May 6, and Monday, May 7,to show off their dazzling longbow archery skills.
The team, which shot stunt fire arrows for Richard Gere and acted as bodyguards for Sean Connery in First Knight, will shoot 500 exploding arrows, deadly bodkin arrows and fire bombard arrows like those seen in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
Adding to the atmosphere are minstrels, fire-eaters, jugglers and jesters along with Maid Marion and Friar Tuck and his team of ferrets.
Entrance costs £7.50 and £6.50 with an extra £1 charge per person on event days.
