MOTORCYCLE TRIALSMEMBERS of the IW Motorcycle Club, young and old, have been rewarded for another fantastic trials on the Island.
The club held its annual awards evening at Shanklin Conservative Club, with dozens of awards recognising the talents of its members, from novice and expert to over-50s and clubmen.
The main award of the evening went to Carisbrooke rider Lee Haydon, who was crowned IW trial champion for 2009 despite missing several events through injury, with the 2008 champion Will West taking the runner up place.
The talented Josh Stephens was third.
A special award was also presented to Ron Wallis, who was voted clubman of the year after his many years of service, running the club’s A.C.U. training scheme.
However new government legislation has meant this scheme has come to an end.
