Newport staged a dramatic last gasp comeback to beat Alresford Town and clinch a place in the next round of the FA Vase.
The Island side were trailing 1-0 until less than 30 seconds from the end of normal time, when Tom McInnes latched onto a cross from GC Giancovich and force the tie into extra time.
Newport’s hopes still looked to be bleak when John Holmes went off injured, cutting the team down to ten men because they had used all three substitutes.
But they refused to lie down and in a gripping climax, McInnes pounced with a fine header to give Newport victory.
Manager, Steve Brougham, said: "It was a long hard battle, but we kept fighting and got the result in the end."
